Moorcroft

Moorcroft art pottery became famous in the early 1900s for a style of decoration known as tube-lining, which was pioneered by William Moorcroft. Liquid clay is trailed on to the surface of the vase to create raised outlines and the piece is then hand-painted in rich glowing colors by specialist artists. Moorcroft vases continue to be hand-made and hand-decorated at William Moorcroft's original factory in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The factory celebrated its centenary in 2013 with the William Moorcroft legacy collection. There are several talented artists at work in today's studio, including Rachel Bishop, Kerry Goodwin and Emma Bossons. Pascoe & Company offer a great selection of new limited editions and recently retired pieces, which are sought after by collectors around the world.
